Reginald Percival Bursary

The Reginal Percival Bursary was established because we understand that part of the healing journey is the ability to engage in healing (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual). Our Bursary Program will award $100,000 in bursaries annually. The Reginald Percival Bursary Program offers one-time bursaries of $1,000 to support Indian Boarding Homes Program (IBHP) Survivors and their descendants in activities that contribute to healing, growth, and physical movement. 100 bursaries will be awarded annually.

Deadline is September 15, 2026, 4 pm.

Eligibility

Applicants must be an IBHP Survivor or a descendant of a Survivor and must provide proof of attendance at IBHP or equivalent Survivor-related gatherings. The activity must support IBHP Survivors directly or indirectly. The activity must foster healing, growth, and movement.

For Youth Descendants, they may apply for a one-time bursary to support participation in high-level academic or athletic events (e.g., science fairs, national competitions, elite sports tourneys). A letter of recommendation from a school principal or coach is required.

Bursaries are not intended to cover routine costs, but to support meaningful, impactful activities aligned with the themes listed above. Applications will be assessed based on clarity of purpose, alignment with program goals, and strength of support letter.
